FUNDRAISING 

Hello Club Presidents,

This year seems to be zooming by and the WFRW Fall Board of Directors Meeting is coming up at the Lynnwood Embassy Suites, November 7th and 8th.


Because fundraising must be ongoing to support the WFRW budget, we have planned two fundraisers for this Board Meeting:

• The first is the ever-popular 50/50 Raffle.  You know how it works.  Everyone buys lots of tickets and one lucky person will win half of the proceeds.
• This year, we are not going to have a silent auction, as we would like to do something new and different.  Since auctions baskets, gift cards, etc., cost your club money to provide, and once at the event, the attendees spend personal money on the baskets.  

This time we want to do something that will give even your club members that do not attend a chance to participate in all of the fun.

So, here’s the plan:  We will have balloons at our Fall Board meeting for $10.00 each.  One of the balloons will hold the ‘GOLDEN TICKET’.  The value of that golden ticket will be a minimum of $100.00.  The more balloons we sell, the greater the value of the Golden Ticket.  So let the fun begin.  

Please give your club members the opportunity to purchase as many balloons as they can.  You bring the money to our meeting and pick out their balloons.  When everyone has their balloons, we will each pop our balloons and find out who has that golden ticket.  So bring lots of balloon money and the winnings go up.  Each club can decide if the money will be kept by the balloon winner or use it to do something special for your whole club.
