​Armed Services - Jennifer West ​

Our goal for the Armed Services Committee is to encourage Republican women to take pride in supporting all active, reserve, guard, and retired veterans, along with their families. The military plays a critical role in upholding our democracy and the structure of our government. They represent a diverse group that, while not always large in number or easily visible, has vital contributions to our political efforts. Despite their sacrifices, these individuals are often overlooked and may not receive the appreciation or assistance they deserve.

For this biennial term, the WFRW Armed Services Committee's mission is to identify our members who are veterans, promote veterans interested in running for political office at all levels, and inform our local clubs about opportunities to assist local and national veteran  organizations. This assistance may include offering volunteers, making monetary contributions, providing tributes, and supporting community projects for veterans.

Awards/Campaign Volunteer Hours  -  Dallas Parr  

Please submit your Awards form by June 1st Deadline of odd-numbered years (2023, 2025,  etc), There are many ways to earn points for Awards: Teaching Mothering Skills, New Citizen Classes, making blankets and hats for newborns, the homeless, and participating in Arbor Day Events.  Click here for additional information.  Volunteer hours are reported electronically on a semi-annual basis.

The Treasurer prepares the draft of the annual budget.  The following year's budget is adopted by the WFRW's Board of Directors at their annual Fall Meeting.

The WFRW Second Vice President is available to help clubs learn to recruit and retain members:
•Provide interesting and informative programs that provide members with an opportunity for political and personal growth
•Provide members with worthwhile, organized, and interesting meetings which encourages them to become more involved
•Be certain that the Club provides an environment of comfort and friendliness to all who attend and are a part of the Club
•Treat  your members and guests with respect.

Legislative - Judy Billings

  • Action alerts on legislative issues.
  • "Click and Send" emails for timely response on the worst bills introduced during the state's legislative session.  
  • Election news and resources.
  • NFRW legislative priorities.

Public Relations & Social Media - Carolyn Williams

Highlight: General Election 2026: WFRW Facebook posts for Republican women running in state legislative races (House and Senate) have garnered more then 300,000 views.  This is remarkable and encouraging!
The Public Relations Chair and Committee provide the following:
  • Email News and Updates via Constant Contact email service.
  • Social Media posts promoting club activities, candidates, elections and relevant news on WFRW platforms Facebook and Instagram. Click the highlighted names to visit.
  • Calendar of events and meetings. Click Calendar to view.
  • Engagement in WFRW and NFRW activities and trainings.
  • Working partnerships with other Republican organizations and lawmakers. 
  • Promotion of NFRW activities and news. 
Clubs may promote their events, meetings and stories on WFRW's Facebook and Instagram pages by sending graphics, photos, detailed information and story write-ups to PR Chair, Carolyn Williams, at [email protected]

Resolutions - Vacant

Any Club, the Board of Directors, and any Standing Committee may present resolutions. All resolutions shall be germane to the work of the Federation and shall be sent to the Resolutions Committee Chairman, Sandi Peterson ([email protected]) not later than 14 days prior to the board meeting. Please refer to WFRW Standing Rules for more information  about submitting resolutions.

For additional visibility for your club's activities and programs, please add Candi to your distribution list of club updates, photos and bios. If you need help setting up an easy, cut & paste website, Candi can offer suggestions and advice.

WFRW members, associate members and friends who contribute $500, $250 or $100 or more to WFRW per year are eligible for membership in our exclusive Winners' Circle! All funds received through the Winners' Circle program are used to enhance the general membership of WFRW.
