Proposed Changes to Bylaws -- 11-10-18
Proposed Changes to the WFRW Bylaws_11-10-2018_final.pdf
Dear Members of the WFRW Board of Directors,
Please read the following purposed changes:
This brings our WFRW Bylaws into alignment with the NFRW Bylaws and method of operation. It also provides inclusion in the nominating process of our elected officers.
This change is being proposed to streamline the WFRW structure and communication process so that it aligns with the NFRW and eliminates the layer of District Directors, which will allow the President and Executive Committee more flexibility to develop ways to enhance WFRW communication with club presidents and better serve clubs. In lieu of the District Directors, the WFRW elected officers, with the exception of the president, will serve as District Advisors.
NFRW does not require state federations to have district directors, and not all state federations have them.
Please familiarize yourself with these changes before the Biennial Convention and contact me or our Bylaws Chair Karen Olson ([email protected]) with any questions.
Thank you for serving the Federation and we look forward to seeing you in November!

Please read the following purposed changes:
- Primary membership shall be held by Republican women who are members of a chartered club in good standing with the WFRW and NFRW.
- A nominating committee member shall not serve two consecutive terms and no club shall be represented more than once on the committee at the same time.
This brings our WFRW Bylaws into alignment with the NFRW Bylaws and method of operation. It also provides inclusion in the nominating process of our elected officers.
- The most significant change is eliminating the District Directors and District Director Coordinator positions
