Women from across the state are members and associate members,
it is an excellent way to meet new faces and make new friends.

Maddies Place

Maddie’s Place is a 501(c)3 non-profit, free-standing recovery nursery for babies experiencing withdrawal due to prenatal substance exposure. Located in Spokane. Click here for ways to donate or get involved.

In November, 2025, Rep Michael Baumgartner joined Rep. Newhouse as a cosponsor of the MIRACLE Act,
supporting Maddie’s Place in Spokane and the fight to give every child in Eastern Washington a healthy start in life.
He says "As both a father and a member of the Spokane community, I have seen the hope and courage that Maddie’s Place brings to families whose newborns are affected by neonatal abstinence syndrome after being exposed to drugs during pregnancy. My staff recently met with Shaun Cross, President of Maddie’s Place, to discuss the impact this bipartisan legislation will have. The MIRACLE Act delivers compassion and common sense, providing critical data, empowering recovery nurseries, and supporting caregiving heroes across our region. I’m proud to champion real progress for families by cosponsoring Rep. Newhouse’s bill and working to ensure every child begins life with hope."
